Der Fliegerhorst Eggebek war ein Militärflugplatz westlich der Gemeinde Eggebek, auf halbem Weg zwischen Flensburg und Schleswig. Erbaut zwischen 1938 und 1941, im Zweiten Weltkrieg als Luftwaffe-Stützpunkt genutzt (Codename „Eskimo“). - 1945 von der Royal Air Force besetzt, 1960 reaktiviert. Heimat des Marinefliegergeschwaders 2 (MFG 2) mit F-104G Starfighter und später Panavia Tornado. - Der Flugbetrieb der Bundeswehr wurde im Jahr 2005 eingestellt.
