Luftbilder Ostseefjord Schlei, Maasholm, Port Olpenitz, Schleimünde | Die Halbinsel Oehe wurde erst Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts endgültig trocken gelegt, nachdem frühere Versuche, wie der Deichbau um 1770 und der anschließende Damm, bei einer Sturmflut wieder verloren gingen. Die erste feste Landverbindung entstand 1798 durch den Bau eines Dammes am Wormshöfter Noor. Die Gemeinde Maasholm wurde mehrmals im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs „Unser Dorf hat Zukunft“ ausgezeichnet.
