Luftbild Amrum - Die Insel Amrum ist umgeben von kilometerlangen Stränden und einer wunderschönen Dünenlandschaft. | Die Nordseeinsel Amrum liegt im Nationalpark Schleswig-Holsteinisches Wattenmeer südlich von Sylt und westlich von Föhr. Mit einer Fläche von 20,46 km² ist sie die zehntgrößte Insel Deutschlands und gehört zum Kreis Nordfriesland in Schleswig-Holstein. Die Insel ist bekannt für ihren 15 Kilometer langen Kniepsand, einen der breitesten Sandstrände Europas, sowie für ausgedehnte Dünen- und Heidegebiete. Auf Amrum gibt es fünf Orte: Wittdün (Tor zur Insel an der Südspitze), Süddorf, Nebel (Hauptort), Steenodde und Norddorf (nördlichster Ort)
