Luftbild Amrum, Wittduen, Nebel, Kniepsand, Fähranleger | Seit seiner Gründung als Badeort entwickelte sich Wittdün zu einem wichtigen touristischen Zentrum auf der Nordseeinsel Amrum. Im späten 19. Jahrhundert entstand ein erstes Kurhaus (1892) und eine Holzpromenade am Südstrand. Die Uferpromenade wurde 1914 nach Sturmfluten durch eine gemauerte Promenade ersetzt.
