Luftbilder Ostseefjord Schlei, Maasholm, Port Olpenitz, Schleimünde | In den folgenden Jahren wurden verschiedene Marineeinheiten, darunter das 5. Minensuchgeschwader, das 5. Schnellbootgeschwader und das 2. Schnellbootgeschwader, hierher verlegt. Zu Spitzenzeiten waren etwa 1850 Soldaten und 450 zivile Mitarbeiter auf dem 160 Hektar großen Gelände stationiert. Die Marineführung empfahl 1993 die Schließung des Standorts, die jedoch zunächst aus politischen Gründen hinausgezögert wurde.
