Luftbilder Nordstrand, Lüttmoorsiel im nordfriesischen Wattenmeer | Die künstliche Salzwasserlagune im Beltringharder Koog entstand als Ausgleichsmaßnahme für die Eindeichung des Gebiets und wird durch das Lüttmoorsiel und das Holmer Siel be- und entwässert. Während bei den meisten Siele die Entwässerung der Marsch erfolgt, fließt bei Flut im Beltringharder Koog das Nordseewasser durch die Siele in den Koog und strömt bei Ebbe wieder heraus, wodurch die Gezeiten mit etwa 1,5 Stunden Verspätung in die Lagune weitergegeben werden.
