Luftbild Ostseefjord Schlei, Gemeinde Thumby, Gut Bienebek | Für Wassersportler bietet die Schlei vielfältige Möglichkeiten: Windsurfen und Kitesurfen sind an mehreren Spots wie Boknis, Kappeln, Maasholm oder Schleswig Luisenbad möglich, wobei die östlichen Abschnitte besonders gut geeignet sind. Die Schlei ist auch ein attraktives Revier für Kanu- und Kajakfahrer, da die Strömung gering ist und die Bedingungen sehr stabil sind. Die gesamte Region ist Teil eines abwechslungsreichen Segelreviers, das von der Fördeküste bis in die dänische Südsee reicht und für Familien, Anfänger und erfahrene Segler gleichermaßen geeignet ist.
