Luftbilder Ostseefjord Schlei, Maasholm, Port Olpenitz, Schleimünde | Geschichte Port Olpenitz: Der Marinestützpunkt Olpenitz wurde zwischen 1959 und 1964 als Neubauprojekt errichtet, bei dem ein Teil des Schleinoors von der Schlei abgetrennt und durch eine neue Einfahrt mit der Ostsee verbunden wurde. Der Stützpunkt wurde am 1. April 1964 als Marinestützpunktkommando Olpenitz aufgestellt und am 1. Oktober 1964 nach Olpenitz verlegt. Ab Oktober 1964 war Olpenitz offiziell Marinestützpunktkommando.
